WE SEEK A FUTURE OF SUSTAINABILITY AND HEALTHY PRODUCTS

Since the first day of its creation, ISCA has worked with a very well-defined focus: to work in agriculture with differentiated products that seek a more balanced relationship with nature. And yet ISCA′s products combine care for the environment with the quality and effectiveness criteria necessary to operate in the market.

We believe that biological pesticides will be predominant in the fight against insects and pests in agriculture within a few years. For us, this has already been a reality for more than 20 years. This explains our researchers choice to use products based on semiochemicals. After all, the raw material comes precisely from nature′s elements, such as insects and plants.

The biocide market is growing steadily at around 30% per year, while that of traditional pesticides is growing at less than 6% per year. This difference alone shows the power that biological pesticides represent in today′s market.

ISCA′s products have differentials that reinforce the relationship with the environment and its preservation, besides bringing innovation to field operations. The most important aspect of them is the introduction of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) mode of action, as defined by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). While most products on the market act in an attempt to control the caterpillar, ISCA′s products attack the previous stage and control the insects before they become a pest.

We don′t stop there. Here are two more practical examples. First, they require a very small amount of water in their application. The result is the saving of millions of gallons of water every year. At the same time, they are friendly to nature-friendly insects and are proven to help with pollination in the field, a factor that leads to improved agricultural productivity.

CONVENTIONAL APPLICATION

The insecticide chases the insect. The entire area needs to be sprayed, using a lot of water and reaching other insects besides the target insect, including bees

ATTRACT-AND-KILL APPLICATION

The insect chases the product. Parallel strips are applied every 100 meters that attract the target insect, which dies when it ingests the product. Uses little water and does not attract the bees

For all these reasons, investing in ISCA means investing in the future: a future of sustainability and healthy food.
